A Guide to the various technologies used in tracking
A lot of customers come to us with a requirement to track or monitor something or someone. They often do not really understand the capabilities or perhaps more importantly the limitations of the technologies involved. This section is designed to give you and general overview of the several technologies available so that you can be best placed to understand what can and cannot be achieved.
Obviously, different people have different levels of technical knowledge so we have provided both a technical description and then a laymans description. Sometimes the later often makes more sense (even to us).
The objective is to make it easier for the generalist to understand and therefore opertate their tracking system
